Cornwall International Male Choral festival, 1st – 3rd May 2026
OWMVC are travelling west …….. to participate in the International Male Choir Festival in Truro and the surrounding area. Early May can be a fantastic time in Cornwall, with the late spring merging into the beginnings of summer. The festival includes dozens of choirs and an incredible range of music.

Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir will be appearing in the following events on the Cornwall International Male Choir Festival ( CIMCF ) in May 2026
Friday 1st May
Regional Gala Concert in Penzance – Chapel Street Methodist Church TR18 4AW), doors open 6.30 starts at 7pm) as one of four choirs (Mousehole MVC, Seer Green Singers, Cowbridge MVC , OWMVC). Each with an 18 -minute performance.
Saturday 2nd May
Category two competition at Truro Cathedral. We are one of 11 choirs, each with a 12min performance. We are scheduled to sing at 9.45 am. The awards ceremony is at 4pm. Also in the Cathedral.
Regional Gala Concert at St Just Miners’ Chapel, Chapel Road,TR19 7HT, doors open 6.30 starts at 7pm. 4 Choirs with each an 18 minute music performance.
Sunday 3rd May
Lunchtime concert ‘Harmony in the City’ at Highcross in Truro, next to Cathedral, outside if dry, inside if wet, starting at 1pm. 4 Choirs each with 30 minutes music performance, with OWMVC at 15.15pm.
Regional Gala Concert at St Austell, St .John’s Chapel, PL25 5AE, doors open 6.30 starts 7pm), 4 Choirs with each an 18minute music performance.
