Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir

Founded in 1928...

St Mary's Church,

26th March 2017

Alex the Dragon is standing in (just for the photo!) for Jonathan French who was our accompanist for the evening.

The choir are ready!

Helen Swift was there as usual, keeping order and providing her own insights into the pieces

Placing over 30 people is the job of 'Concert Marshall' Phil Gibbs. During the day he is a cat herder... :-)

Between choir sets we were entertained by local folk singer Andrea Yates.

One Welsh choral tradition is the afterglow... if you are 'lucky' you will hear the whole concert (and more).

Thame Chuch has one recent claim to fame. It overlooks the house where Bee Gee, Robin Gibb lived. He is buried in the graveyard, facing his former home.
